BCISD school board applauds student achievement
During the BCISD school board meeting May 19 held at the main office, students were recognized for academic, state and national achievements. BCISD AD resigns ‘to get to coach again’
After one year as the Burnet Consolidated Independent School District athletic director and safety officer, Steve Hale resigned. He announced his resignation in early May, calling the reason why “the right opportunity that came up.” He is joining the Trinity Christian Academy in Willow Park as the football program’s defensive coordinator, the athletic department’s powerlifting coach and track coach. 05/21/2025 04:04 AM

Recently, one critical bill proposed to impose new regulations in Burnet County related to permits for facilities that produce or crush aggregate failed to pass parliamentary muster. Council discusses strategic priorities, opposes rail line
The May 13 meeting of the Burnet City Council began with the council canvassing and certifying the results of the May 3 General Election. Gary Wideman was re-elected as mayor, while Ricky Langley, Joyce Laudenschlager, and Tres Clinton were all re-elected to serve as council members.
