On Friday nine Lady Dawg lifters traveled to Dublin to compete in the THSWPA Region II 4A Large School powerlifting meet. As a team Burnet combined to finished fourth overall with 20 points. Alvarado won the meet with 60 points followed by Lampasas, second, 48; Taylor, third, 30; Burnet, fourth, 20; Stephenville, fifth, 18; Brownwood, sixth, nine; Fredericksburg, seventh; six; and Marble Falls, eighth, two points. 03/05/2025 01:39 AM

The Bulldog basketball team entered the state playoffs last week with a Bi-District game versus Lorena’s Leopards at a neutral location in Georgetown. Victories all around for Burnet soccer programs
The Burnet soccer teams started their second round of district play last week. On Friday the Bulldog teams hosted Austin Travis. In the JV Bulldogs first meeting they lost to Travis, 7-1. I think most U.S. citizens are aware that our federal government is bloated, but now that President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency is exposing incomprehensible waste, fraud and abuse of taxpayers’ dollars, there is absolutely no doubt. Congress has dropped the ball.
