The Office of Public Interest Counsel (OPIC) released a response March 28 to a state legislator’s call to overturn the permit of a proposed rock crushing operation in Burnet County. County purchases space for public defenders
Burnet County commissioners have found new office space for the county defender. Top finishes for Lady Dawg track at host meet
Burnet’s track program hosted the Bulldog Relays on Thursday and both teams did extremely well. The varsity division was won by Salado with 223 points, followed by Burnet, 106.5 in second; West, 99.50 in third; Gateway, 55 in fourth; and China Spring rounded out the top five with 40 points. The Lady Dawg JV team won their division with 198 points, followed by Salado, second, 158; China Spring, third, 65; Marble Falls, fourth, 64; and Gateway, fifth, 11. 03/19/2025 02:57 AM

Burnet High soccer program posts successes
The Burnet Lady Dawg soccer team wrapped up district play last Friday with a road win at Austin LBJ. The victory moved Burnet’s overall record to 20-21, and 17-0-1 in district. Golfers host 20 annual Colin Clark Invitational
Last week the Burnet golf teams hosted the annual Colin Clark Invitational. This marked the 20 year for the event honoring Colin Clark, a former Bulldog golfer who was tragically killed in an auto accident in 2005.
