Baseball suffers district losses to Mustangs
The Bulldog baseball team opened district with a series versus Marble Falls. On Tuesday they traveled to face the Mustangs and fell short after allowing seven runs in the bottom of the second inning. Burnet didn’t post any runs until the top of the sixth and by that time Marble Falls had taken a 9-0 lead. 03/19/2025 02:57 AM

Lady Dawgs sending three lifters to state
On Friday nine Lady Dawg lifters traveled to Dublin to compete in the THSWPA Region II 4A Large School powerlifting meet. As a team Burnet combined to finished fourth overall with 20 points. Alvarado won the meet with 60 points followed by Lampasas, second, 48; Taylor, third, 30; Burnet, fourth, 20; Stephenville, fifth, 18; Brownwood, sixth, nine; Fredericksburg, seventh; six; and Marble Falls, eighth, two points. 03/05/2025 01:39 AM

Playoffs in sight for Burnet soccer
The Bulldog and Lady Bulldog soccer teams have been busy competing against district opponents over the past several weeks. Burnet’s varsity girls team continues to cruise past opponents and with a 13-0 record with just a handful of games remaining they have clinched a playoff spot. 03/05/2025 01:39 AM

Good start for Burnet track teams
The Bulldog track teams competed in Marble Falls last Thursday to open their 2025 season. It was a good start for the Dawgs with both the varsity and JV teams performing well. The JV boys outright won their division with 184 team points. The varsity boys placed fourth overall collecting 84 points for their efforts. 03/05/2025 01:39 AM
