So far, bluebonnets appear a little shy this season
Bluebonnets have been sparse in many areas this spring. Some friends have reported that their bluebonnets have been greatly stunted. A couple of friends had none at all. The most likely explanation probably is the lack of rain this past fall and winter. 04/09/2025 03:18 AM

Softball suffers the one that got away
If you just look at the final score to Friday night’s softball game versus state ranked Gateway you might thing it was more lop-sided than it actually was. Burnet’s girls played a great game through seven innings keeping the Lady Gators scoreless. Burnet track qualifies pack for Area
Burnet standout distance runner, Victor Aviles, ran his way to three 24-4A gold medals each earning him a spot at Area. He placed first in the 3200, 1600 and 800 meter events. As a team the Bulldogs did well at last week’s district meet. They secured a spot at Area for 13 athletes including both running and field events. Those athletes include Aviles, Matthew Williams, Brody Danson, Braxton Ringstaff, Clay Lamb, Lyndon Harycki, Hector Vega, Isaias Zarate, Cason O’Hair, Josvanny Ramirez, Charles Edwards, Nathan Torres, and David Prather. 04/09/2025 03:18 AM
