Bill aims to require ‘credible’ proof of water for developers

From the cool crooners to library decor, much to cheer about
A ribbon cutting was held at the new Bertram Community Cupboard this past Tuesday. Board members, volunteers and Bertram citizens, and Bertram Chamber members gathered to celebrate this new non-profit that will focus on serving the underprivileged in the community. The Bertram Community Cupboard is open every Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 112 Grange Street to distribute food items to those who need assistance.

Probe clears commissioner of conflict of interest
An investigation has cleared a Burnet County commissioner of failure to properly document conflict of interest reports in vote abstentions. San Saba Assistant County Attorney Russ Baker recently exonerated Burnet County Precinct 2 Commissioner Damon Beierle from allegations he may have violated local government conflict of interest laws during his ser- vice on the court last year.
