Reluctantly, the Burnet County Commissioners recently agreed to put aside funds to comply with state law related to the prevention of “ongoing and emerging technology” social media and other computer online threats. It may cost the county thousands of dollars to comply with Texas Senate Bill 1893, which calls for ensuring the prohibition or restriction of “certain social media and applications and service owned or leased by governmental entities.” 11/13/2024 02:09 AM

Sweep win for Lady Dawg volleyball
The Lady Dawg volleyball program opened second round district play last week with Tuesday night home games versus Marble Falls. Burnet swept their visiting opponent in straight-sets for all three matches.
