Burnet CISD to consider AD hire, June 16
Special to the Bulletin Burnet CISD will be recommending Grant Freeman to serve as the next athletic director at a special board meeting called for Monday, June 16. Officials added: “Burnet CISD is committed to building strong programs that reflect our values of excellence, leadership, and student growth” and that the recommendation is “in alignment with that commitment.” Freeman currently serves as the athletic director for Wichita Falls ISD, where he has led with a focus on building competitive programs and supporting the growth of student-athletes. 06/11/2025 01:31 AM

Burnet County adopts hospital participation fund
Burnet County commissioners adopted the Burnet County Health Care Provider Participation Program, just before the regular session began June 10, during a public hearing, As authorized by Texas law, the court designated Hill Country National Bank as the depository of the mandatory collection of payments from two main Burnet County health care facilities, Baylor Scott & White and Ascension Seton hospitals. 06/11/2025 01:31 AM

A community member who stewarded books and resources that nourish the soul is bidding farewell.
