The Team Tennis season is nearing the end of their regular season matches and Burnet is still in the playoff hunt. Last week the Dawgs hosted Legacy Ranch; a new school based in Liberty Hill. The Wranglers currently only have freshman and unfortunately did not have enough tennis players to compete as a team. The result was an official 19-0 forfeit victory for Burnet. 09/25/2024 02:16 AM

Hot meet at McNeil for Dust Dawgs
The soaring heat has only heightened the challenge Burnet’s cross country runners face each week. Last week, at the McNeil Invitational, temperatures rose quickly even though races were held before noon. The Bulldogs and Lady Dawgs work hard daily with conditioning for these scenarios. Head cross country coach, Kristi Jones, consistently reminds her athletes how important practice and hydration is, especially with the district races being just around the corner. In early October the runners could face a vast variation of weather so preparation is key. 09/25/2024 02:16 AM

Here are some essential “to do” for your vegetable, herb, and flower gardens: Vegetable Gardens: plant cool-season crops: broccoli, cauliflower, kale, spinach, carrots, radishes, and lettuce. Continue to harvest fall crops: tomatoes, peppers, okra, and squash. Remove spent summer crops to prevent disease and pests. 09/25/2024 02:16 AM
