Former judge issues invite to coffee
The news over the weekend from Burnet County is that Judge Gil Jones has officially applied for the Burnet County Judge position. Although the Burnet County commissioners will have the final vote, Judge Jones is planning a few casual coffees with community members to give him the opportunity to meet with the public and express his thoughts and vision for Burnet County and to answer questions and hear what Burnet County folks think.

After opening in the Spring of 2023, one of the biggest changes the ownership has seen is the growth of the community. Bulldogs basketball earns district win over Jarrell
The boys’ basketball program competed in three district games during the Christmas break playing Marble Falls, Jarrell and Gateway most recently last Friday. As of presstime Burnet’s varsity was 1-3 having dropped games to Marble Falls, 4131; and Gateway, 51-37. Their district win came last Tuesday over Jarrell, 42-36. They continued 24-4A play versus Salado yesterday and will travel to Taylor on Friday.
